BLEACH 537 - Everything But The Rain Op. 10 - Prinz Von Licht[]
This chapter was more explanation than anything else, but Naruto was more talking than anything else, so the length of these reviews may vary. So, as it happens, Masaki was not meant to die the night Grand Fisher attacked. As we already know, and Ichigo decides to explain anyway, Quincy have an ability called Blut. Masaki apparently had the strongest Blut Vene out of the living Quincy, it's why even the minor wound she suffered from Whitey was viewed as problematic, and why Grand Fisher shouldn't have been able to scratch her. Uryu's mother, as we all thought, was Katagiri (though I suppose now it's Kanae, Katagiri was her surname but I bet she married into the Ishida family and Ryuuken's mother probably committed suicide). She collapsed on the same day Ichigo's mother did, and died 3 months later. Why, do you ask? Well, he decided to enact the Purge.
Oh Germans...even in fictional form they crave power. Apparently, Quincy lore speaks of a sealed king, who will regain his heartbeat after 900 years, his reason after 90 years, and his power after 9 years. He took what he deemed as the impure Quincy, and took their powers for his own. While Masaki fell in battle, Kanae died because she was frail to begin with. Even Ichigo questions how this can happen, but apparently it's because Juhabach is the Quincy Progenitor. Ichigo remembers what Juhabeard said, thanks his father, and heads out, only to meet Ikumi, who can...somehow?...see the badge Ichigo has and returns it to him. Ichigo then heads out, thanking them both. We then cut to Juhabach...finally, it's been I don't know how many months, sitting on his throne and noting Hashwald has returned, and wondering where the subject is. Haschwald steps aside for the subject to stand before his King.
FINALLY! How long has it been, Uryuu!? A year!? Welcome back Uryu, Welcome back!
Naruto 630 - What We Bury[]
Once again...Naruto wasn't really interesting. Obito is like a woman. He doesn't know what he wants. At first, he was all jerkassed towards Kakashi, now he's reaching out to Kakashi and trying to make him see it his way (while Kakashi's doing just the same thing). It's weirdly heartwarming but also annoying. Thankfully, we cut to something worth our time. Remember when I had said the Ten Tails was like a Bulbasaur on meth?
Shikamaru then comes up with a plan, contacting the earth dude with the big nose to teach them the seal for a basic Earth Release ninjutsu...I was under the impression you had to have an affinity for a nature to use it. Now an entire army is gonna use Earth Release? Explain this, someone! Back to what I am calling the "whine fest", Obito continues to complain about how his life sucked...despite the fact that they should really teach you about this in the Shinobi Academy.
And suddenly, Minato like a badass out of hell.

The art was excellent, Bleach always has some good art, and we actually had a little scenery in this chapter. Not bad Kubo, not bad Kubo, 10/10. The story? 9/10. Like previously, questions are being answered that we've wanted, and we're finding out just so much in a few pages that I am very pleased with how this has gone. And now Kubo has set-up a betrayal plot! This is the chapter where BLEACH's balls dropped, you can tell Kubo's been waiting to pull this and he did it successfully! Overall, an excellent chapter.

Naruto always gas good art, and the effects were great. 10/10 as always. However, the story, like last week, was more of the downfall for this chapter. We didn't get much of anywhere at all, it was just Obito complaining about life again. 4/10. The fight, such as it was, was interesting. The entire army pulling off a Earth Barricade and Minato teleporting the Bijudama away like it was nothing (oh, and B was awesome too). Overall, 5/10. All in all, this chapter was "Good".
BLEACH and NARUTO are all done for today, but they'll be back next week! I look forward to your feedback in the comments, and remember, say what you like, but, try not to bite each other's throats out. We'll see you around.
